England vs Ireland World Cup Cricket Match | 2 March 2011

In the 15th match of world cup cricket England will take on Ireland on 2nd March 2011 which would be the 7th match of Group B. The match will happen in the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore and start at 2.30pm (0900 GMT) Wednesday.

Ireland in their first match on world cup lost to Bangladesh which they should have won as they successes to stop them on a low total but their inexperienced in playing the quality spin bowlers cost them though the fast bowler took the most wicket on that day. Ireland being the best associate member from quite some time now and there were many talks of giving them the full ODI status unfortunately most of their talented players went to play for England in test or ODI matches to pursue their international carrier. Porterfoemd. O’Brien brothers’ along with Botha look in good nick but need to make better score. International cricket exposed Joyce need to put on all his experience if they want to give England fight in the world cup match. There is already a lot of talk of George Dockrell who is considered be the future England test cap holder due to his raw talent and maturity show during his short spam of International cricket, this guy has already signed by one of the leading English country side. His performance can make impact in the match against England if he performs as per his reputation.

England will be playing their third world cup match; in first one they escaped the Netherlands trap thanks to the inning of Collingwoon. Second match was the nail biter and they almost took it away from India where England skipper Andrew Strauss played a blinder and Tim Brensnan made sure India didn’t get too far. Bowling look a concern for the England side as part from Graeme Swann and Tim Brensnan no other bowlers made an impression in the world cup so far. They have to check back if Stuart Broad is fully fit for match against Ireland who will definitely replace the James Anderson.

Wicket at Chinnaswamy Stadium world cup match will be a bit greener for 2nd March match which will offer help to bowlers and stroke players.

England Probable side: Andrew Strauss (capt), James Anderson, Ian Bell, Ravi Bopara, Tim Bresnan, Stuart Broad, Paul Collingwood, Kevin Pietersen, Matt Prior (wk), Ajmal Shahzad, Graeme Swann, James Tredwell, Jonathan Trott, Luke Wright, Michael Yardy.

Ireland Probable side: William Porterfield (capt), Trent Johnston, Alex Cusack, Andre Botha, Kevin O'Brien, Niall O'Brien (wk), Nigel Jones, Ed Joyce, John Mooney, Paul Stirling, Gary Wilson (wk), George Dockrell, Boyd Rankin, Albert van der Merwe, Andrew White.

Big question is can Ireland repeat their performance against England side from 2007 world cup? Or will this be just a one sided affair as experience wise Ireland don’t stands anywhere in this match!
