So it was confirmed today that Andrew Symonds would not be coming to India this time... bad news for Australian team. Andrew Hilditch chairman of selectors, Australian cricket, announces the same today at press conference at Melborne.
Andrew Symonds was stood down for disciplinary reasons in Darwin and is now going through a process...designed to give him time to assess whether he is fully committed to all of the things needed for a cricketer to be a member of the world's number one team, Hilditch said.Good news is, Ricky Ponting, who is suffering from wrist injury and Matthew Hayden, suffering from Achille's tendon, have been selected for Australian squad. Both got these injuries at their tour to West Indies.
Australian squad for Indian tour is:
Squad: Matthew Hayden, Phil Jaques, Ricky Ponting (capt), Michael Hussey, Michael Clarke, Simon Katich, Shane Watson, Brad Haddin (wk), Brett Lee, Jason Krejza, Mitchell Johnson, Peter Siddle, Bryce McGain, Stuart Clark, Doug Bollinger
Looks like a beatable side? you can read about whole point of view on the beatable squad at A Cricketing View.
One again a question..... Who is this Jason Krejza, Peter Siddle, Bryce McGain, Doug Bollinger? you can click on the names to know more about these players. Australian selector have done a good thing by selecting these actually. How? all these are currently playing in India as a part of Australian A side
Once again I must confess, I am going to miss Andrew Symonds, I love the way this guy play his cricket.....
