Why England Board accepted the BCCI invitation?

England Cricket Board has accepted the invitation to play in Indian domestic competition,Duleep Trophy. England Lions will feature in the tournament to be held in Jan-Fab 2008. English board is taking this a match practice for their New Zealand tour? Going to New Zealand and practice in Indian flat wickets, this is over my head. Lions will be the sixth team to play in 46 year old Duleep trophy with West Zone, East Zone, North Zone, South Zone and Central Zone.

Sanath Jayasuriya announce his retirement from International Cricket

December 3, 2007 Sanath Jayasuriya finally called it a day for test cricket, the opener from Sri Lanka who storm the international bowler with his power hitting made a stylish 78 in his last inning of test cricket against England in Kandy. He immediately announces retirement from test cricket after he back from playing this inning. “This is the right time to retire,” Jayasuriya Confirmed, and added “There are some young guys coming up, and I wanted to go while on top, Life without cricket will be tough, but I will sill be playing one day cricket and contributing to the team.
